Connect power to a new or existing location
Are you needing to connect power to a new or existing location? If so, you will need to apply for service by calling our Customer Service Department at 229-273-3811 or by coming by our Customer Service Department offices located at 202 South 7th Street, Cordele, GA.
You will need the following information:
- Your name (the name of the primary account holder)
- Valid photo ID
- Valid documentation authorizing you to have power turned on at the location such as ownership documents, lease or rent receipt, etc.
- A security deposit. Please refer to our Deposits page for more information about our security deposits.
- Service address (where the power is to be turned on)
- Contact phone number
- Social security number
- Mailing address
- The date on which you would like service turned on
In addition, you may need an electrical inspection and permit such as building a new structure, moving a new mobile home, or performing similar actions. For more information about inspections and permits in the county click here or, if in the city, call 229-276-2915.
If all permits are in order and no construction is required then we provide same-day connection service when application is made Monday – Friday before 3:00 pm. After 3:00, we may provide same-day connection service for an additional charge. Please refer to our Miscellanous Fees page for more information about our After Hours Fee.
Transfer power from one location to another
Are you currently a Crisp County Power Commission customer and need to transfer power from one location to another location? If so, follow the same steps detailed above to connect power at your new location and let our Customer Service Representative know the date you would like the power disconnected at your current location.
